With many years of listening I finally heard her and I try to remember those lessons, especially when I find myself in a rut or feeling a bit sorry for myself and my very comfortable, albeit busy, middle class life. Your son and your journey have humbled me and taken those lessons a little further. When I am stressed or anxious by my schedule, my job, my messy house....whatever, I think of Dominic and his wonderful family and I cannot hold onto whatever was bothering me. I am more able to appreciate each day and I take less for granted for following your journey. Thank you for sharing this painful process. Dominic hasn't just made you a better person.
